Most of us enjoy reading. However when it comes to study we let it slide sometimes. The nuggets for today are to encourage each of you to take time to study the Word of God so that you can grow in the Lord.
My prayer for today is: Dear Jesus I promise to study your word. I do promise to do as 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." My desire is to not just read and enjoy but set aside time to genuinely study your Holy Word so that I can live according to the road map of the word.
Study means to delve deeply in search of truth, fact, fiction or that which leads to knowledge of or about something. To study requires time set aside for an effort placed upon oneself so as to learn as a result of the information obtained and acquired.
Study is an acute acquiring of knowledge through intense, committed and purposeful time spent in reading, meditating, researching and much praying for the benefit of living life.
To study requires a mind set of determination to obtain needed and required information for both yourself and possibly others.
One dictionary says that Study is a state of contemplation and application of the mental faculties to the acquisition of knowledge. To read in detail especially with the intention of learning. To consider attentively or in detail, to reflect, meditate or try to know.
Take out your Bible and start today to Study.
Here is another prayer to move you to study: Dear Lord I pray for clear understanding as I spend time allotted by you and chosen by me to study your word which is truth. I do want to have a fuller and more complete knowledge of you and to be able to discern through your compass of the word your will for my life.
